The "178th Anniversary Celebration Ceremony of Agriculture Education and Prof. Dr. Kenan Kaynaş's Retirement Ceremony", which was planned to be held on 10.01.2024 by the Faculty of Agriculture and the Çanakkale Branch of the Chamber of Agricultural Engineers, but was held on 28.02.2024 due to adverse weather conditions, was held together. Çanakkale Deputy Mayor İrfan Mutluay, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture Prof. Dr. Murat Şeker, Deputy Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Mr. Latif Candan, Secretary General of the Agricultural Exchange Mr. Sevcan Elver, faculty members and students of the Faculty of Agriculture attended the program. 

The program of the 178th year of Agriculture Education started with the speeches of Latif Candan, Deputy Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry, and ended with the speeches of Prof. Dr. Murat Şeker, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, and İrfan Mutluay, Deputy Mayor of Çanakkale.

In the second part of the program, the retirement ceremony of Prof. Dr. Kenan Kaynaş, who served as a faculty member in the Department of Horticulture of the Faculty of Agriculture between 1999-2023 and also served as the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture between 2000-2009, was held. At the ceremony, Mr. Kaynaş's resume was read first. Later, Prof. Dr. Kenan Kaynaş was invited to the podium and gave a speech to his colleagues and students for the last time as a faculty member. At the end of the speeches, Prof. Dr. Kenan Kaynaş was presented with gifts and flowers by Deputy Mayor İrfan Mutluay and Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture Prof. Dr. Murat Şeker in memory of the day. The ceremony ended with a group photo shoot and refreshments.
